Make sure your equipment is ready for faster speeds

From time to time, Alliance adjusts our Internet speed packages to ensure we’re providing you with the bandwidth you need now and years into the future. This fall we transitioned customers to higher Internet speeds for no additional charge.

To maximize your new speed, you’ll want to make sure your equipment can keep up. Just like computers and cell phones, wireless routers should be updated about every three years. The tips below will help you decide if you need a new router.


Tonight’s upgrades to temporarily interrupt services in some areas

Some customers will experience a disruption to their Internet, cable TV and phone services for approximately 30 minutes on Tuesday, Oct. 8, between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m.

Alliance will be upgrading some equipment, which will impact services for customers in Alcester, Hudson, Alvord, Lester, Larchwood, Inwood, Steen, Hills, Howard, Oldham, Ramona and Carthage. If your services don’t return automatically, unplug your router, set-top boxes and DVRs from the electrical outlet and then plug them back in.
