Alliance Communications is bringing gig internet services to rural Lincoln and Turner Counties. This week Alliance received a grant from the State of South Dakota for $2.4 million that it will use to expand its fiber-optic network to these under-served areas. The total project will cost approximately $6,060,000. Once the project is complete, 468 households and 20 businesses will have the option to receive symmetrical gig internet speeds.
