Federal Universal Service Charge Notice

Remember to start dialing 10 digitals for local phone calls.

A Federal Universal Service Charge (FUSC), as prescribed by the Federal Communications Commission, is now increasing to 36.3% of your interstate telecommunications services. This is effective January 1, 2025, and is a result of an increase in the Federal Communication’s (FCC’s) Universal Service Fund contribution factor from 35.8%. The new FUSC amount is calculated by multiplying the FCC’s Universal Service Contribution factor against your interstate access service charges. The Federal Universal Service Fund Program is designed to help keep local telephone service rates
affordable for all customers, in all areas of the United States.
