Our team members donate their time to youth sports and civic organizations, and Alliance contributes to various initiatives, including volunteering at the Banquet, a meal ministry in Sioux Falls, purchasing holiday gifts for local families in need through Sharing Christmas, and doing yard work for adults 60+ and adults with disabilities in the Sioux Falls, Brandon, Harrisburg, and Tea communities every fall.
Alliance’s Keep the Change program also collects voluntary contributions from thousands (92%) of participating cooperative members by rounding their monthly bills up to the next dollar. The funds are then given to a local community, school, or non-profit organization.

It takes a community to make a cooperative. At Alliance, our customer-owned communications cooperative guarantees our owners receive the best services and prices. When revenues exceed costs, we share our excess revenue with our owners in the form of capital credits checks.
To ensure the vision for our cooperative is shared, our customers elect nine of their fellow owners to the Alliance Communications Board of Directors to attend monthly board meetings.
