If Alliance receives enough interest this winter, network construction would start in 2027. Demand for fiber-optic cabling is high due to the rapid growth of AI data centers, which is why the project won’t occur in 2026.

Alliance Communications reserves the right to postpone or cancel expansion plans within the city limits of Luverne, MN, due to project cost changes or other unforeseen circumstances that may occur.
Alliance is waiving the construction fee for a limited time. After we bury a fiber-optic line to your home or business, you must activate and maintain service for at least one year. Some exceptions may apply.
Alliance has a $50 activation charge, which includes installing services inside of your primary home or primary business. There might be additional costs if you have requests beyond a standard construction or installation. We will explain any additional costs to you and receive your prior approval. You can receive up to $50 in one-time credits if you sign up to receive your monthly bill by email only and you pay your monthly bill through automatic bank payment.
