The new internet packages offer more speed starting Aug. 1, and most customers will be receiving a faster Internet speed for a lower price.
- 100 x 100 Mbps for $49.95 (was 50 x 50)
- 200 x 200 Mbps for $59.95 (was 100 x 100)
- 300 x 300 Mbps for $69.96 (was 250 x 250)
- 500 x 500 Mbps for $79.95 (no change)
- Gig x Gig for $99.95 (no change)
- Double Play bundle now has 100 x 100 Mbps (was 50 x 50)
- Basic Triple Play bundle now has 100 x 100 Mbps (was 50 x 50)
- Ultimate Triple Play bundle now has 300 x 300 Mbps (was 250 x 250)
Bundle customers who need even more speed can add faster options onto their package for an additional charge.
Homes with more connected devices need more speed
According to a new Deloitte report, the average U.S. home now has 25 connected devices. In 2019, the number of devices in the average home was only 11. Deloitte defined connected devices to include laptops, tablets, smartphones, video streaming devices, smart TVs, wireless headphones, earbuds, gaming consoles, smart home devices, and fitness trackers, and connected exercise machines.
“The more connected devices you have, the more internet speed you need,” Petrick said. “Our new speed packages give customers greater flexibility now and into the future.”
