Why is everything so slow?
If you are experiencing slow speeds everywhere in your computer, you will want to try rebooting the computer. The speed that your computer boots up and opens programs at is unrelated to your Internet speed. If rebooting does not resolve this issue, you will want to contact a computer repair technician to rule out problems such as hardware issues, virues, spyware, etc.
If you are a High-Speed DSL or Fiber customer and you notice slow speeds only when surfing the Internet, but everything else with the computer seems fine, you will want to reboot any networking equipment such as switches/hubs, routers, and DSL modems. If this fails to resolve the problem, contact Alliance Communications by dialing 611 in the Alliance telephone service area for further support.
