Two children’s channels will be added to Alliance Digital Cable TV in mid June.

Sprout, a 24-hour preschool channel, will feature Sesame Street, Barney and Friends, The Sunny Side Up, and The Good Night Show. You will find Sprout in the Elite Package on channel 53. Learn more about Sprout at www.sproutonline.com.

Disney Junior airs programming for young children 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and features shows like Little Einsteins, Chuggington, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Phineas and Ferb, Doc McStuffins, Guess How Much I Love You and Rolie Polie Olie. Plus, you will find weekend family movies during the Magical World of Disney Junior. Visit www.disneyjuniorthechannel.com for more information on Disney Junior.

ABC/Disney, which owns both SoapNet and Disney Junior, decided to remove SoapNet and replace it with Disney Junior. The change will occur on Alliance Digital Cable TV on Friday, June 15.

With networks cancelling daytime dramas due to declining viewership, ABC/Disney didn’t see much purpose for a full-time network dedicated to airing soap opera reruns.

Plus, with the advent of the DVR, a high percentage of soap opera viewers now record episodes and stopped using SoapNet, which used to be a popular channel for those wanting to watch daytime dramas in the evenings or on weekends.

You can find Disney Junior in the Elite Choice package on channel 49 and in the High Definition package on channel 349.

If you don’t already subscribe to the Elite Choice or High Definition packages, you should subscribe today. Or better yet, get the best deal with the Ultimate Triple Play bundle. For more details, dial 611 from any Alliance phone or call 605-594-3411.

The Minnesota Vikings game against the New York Giants will not be broadcast on KTTW Fox due to contracts between the NFL and ESPN's Monday Night Football.

The game, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, was rescheduled for Monday, Dec. 13, in Detroit because heavy snow collapsed the Metrodome roof.

A replay of the game will be available on NFL Network at 11. p.m. Don't forget to set your DVR if you can't stay up that late.
