Discovery Communications has remade Planet Green, a cable channel that has been home to environmental programming for the past four years, into Destination America, a channel that tries to appeal to the heartland.
The change became effective on May 24.
Destination America aims for a manly version of TLC's audience with shows about food, travel, adventure and natural history.
